PAOC is committed to finding loving forever homes for each and every one of our dogs. While our fosters are with us, our wonderful volunteers help daily by walking and playing with the dogs. They also train our fosters in the dog gym or in the dog park. We work very hard to be sure all of our foster kids are happy, healthy, and well adjusted to be ready for their new families!
Lionel

Bessy

Meet Bessy! Bessy joined us Monday after being surrendered to a local dog control officer. Bessy is an 11-12 year old Bassett hound who is the sweetest girl! Bessy was loaded with fleas and her coat is evidence of the neglect she suffered. Bessy holds no grudges and loves everyone she meets! We just adore her!

Rocky is approximately one and a half years old, is neutered, and is current on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention. Rocky will be microchipped soon and will be ready for adoption into a forever home.

Meet Benji, our newest addition, believed to be a Cairn terrier mix and just over a year and a half old. Benji is current on all vaccinations, has been neutered, and receives flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. Benji will be microchipped and is ready to find his forever family.
Duck

A dog named Duck:
We are thrilled to introduce Miss Duck, a 19 week-old Aussie/Border Collie mix, to the PAOC family. Duck is a happy-go-lucky puppy who thinks playing tag with her doggie friends and snuggling with sweet kisses are the best. She has a smile that lights up her precious face. Despite her adorable and gentle nature, Duck has faced adversity, surrendered from her home May 24th and separated from her brother due to a medical condition. Duck is likely afflicted with ectopic ureter, resulting in constant urine leakage. Although she is currently safe in foster care, Duck’s optimal well-being hinges on specialized medical care, with estimated costs ranging from $4,000 to $6,000 in July. Duck and her foster parents will be making the trip to Upstate veterinary specialists in Latham, NY July 31st (the first appointment we could get) to have her evaluated and determine what we can do to help her!
