Adopt

Don’t wait, ADOPT TODAY!

PAOC is committed to finding loving forever homes for each and every one of our dogs. While our fosters are with us, our wonderful volunteers help daily by walking and playing with the dogs. They also train our fosters in the dog gym or in the dog park. We work very hard to be sure all of our foster kids are happy, healthy, and well adjusted to be ready for their new families!

Requirements

Our adoption process ensures that each animal is places with the best fit home. All potential adopters must fill out an application to be approved by our Board members. Approval for adoption is based on several items including:

  • vet history (all current and previous pets must be up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered)
  • housing (all renters will be required to provide landlord information for approval)
  • and other lifestyle questions to be sure that each animal is placed with the best fit home.

Bessy

Meet Bessy! Bessy joined us Monday after being surrendered to a local dog control officer. Bessy is an 11-12 year old Bassett hound who is the sweetest girl! Bessy was loaded with fleas and her coat is evidence of the neglect she suffered. Bessy holds no grudges and loves everyone she meets! We just adore her!

Jem

Miss Jem has joined our ranks from the Oswego Animal Shelter, where she was lost and unfortunately not reunited with her original owner. Her name, Jem, is remarkably fitting as she is indeed a gem in every respect. She possesses impeccable manners, is housetrained, and has nothing but love for everyone she has met. We are thrilled to have her as part of our family and look forward to the day she finds her forever home.

Dutton

Dutton is still a baby at almost 18 months of age. Dutton is a bernadoodle on the smaller side at just 68 pounds but we are working on putting some weight on him

Duck

A dog named Duck:

We are thrilled to introduce Miss Duck, a 19 week-old Aussie/Border Collie mix, to the PAOC family. Duck is a happy-go-lucky puppy who thinks playing tag with her doggie friends and snuggling with sweet kisses are the best. She has a smile that lights up her precious face. Despite her adorable and gentle nature, Duck has faced adversity, surrendered from her home May 24th and separated from her brother due to a medical condition. She is recovering well!

Cats & Kittens

How can we say no when a call comes in that a tote was left on a porch in the City of Fulton in the freezing cold that contained a momma cat and her 7 precious babies. Even though we’re literally bursting at the seams and every rescue and shelter is overflowing, we know that these innocent lives depend on us. They needed immediate medical treatment and a safe haven. Babies loaded in fleas draining their little bodies, filthy dirty and smelling so bad, but we’re here to nurture them back to health. Antibiotic for an upper respiratory infection, momma skinny and needing ear meds, but we’re committed to their recovery. Please welcome Mama Bellini and her beautiful babies.
